Princess Samarah’s knowledge of English betrays her when invaders storm her village in 1910. Torn from her homeland and forced into servitude, she clings to memories of love and family—until tragedy leaves her alone and burning with rage. Then comes Mayne Patterson, the son of her captor, offering a love she never asked for and a choice she never imagined. Bound by duty, haunted by desire, Samarah must decide between remaining loyal to her past or risking everything for a future she never saw coming.
