Science, Spirituality and Evolution is an attempt to
highlight the spiritual potential within the recent and on-going
discoveries in both the science of the quantum world and the science of
the larger Cosmos. Science is now confirming what the mystics on former
ages taught us. Somehow, these mystics, through silence and meditation,
were able to discern and touch deep truths about what existence means.
Abstract Algebra, which was once perceived as purely abstract with no
practical application, is now at the heart of explaining existence
within the quantum world. Thus mathematics, science and spirituality are
just different faces of the same reality.

John A Ryan is a Catholic Priest belonging to St Patrick’s Missionary Society whose headquarters is based in his native Ireland. He has two passions. The first is to promote a sense of the spiritual within the earth community and the second is a love of abstract algebra. He has worked in Mzuzu Diocese since his ordination in 1978. He sees his present position as Professor of Mathematics at MZUNI as an extension of his missionary work to promote an awareness of the spiritual.
