Godfrey Berinde Asiimwe

Godfrey Berinde Asiimwe is an Associate Professor and former Head of the Departments of History and Development Studies at Makerere University. He holds a BA/Educ (Hons) & MA (Mak); PhD from the International Institute of Social Sciences (ISS), Erasmus University. He was a Research Fellow, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London; Research Fellow, Centre of African Studies, University of Cambridge; Guest Research Fellow, Nordic African Institute (NAI), Uppsala; Senior Research Fellow, Nile Basin Programme, University of Bergen; Fulbright African Senior Research Scholar, Mt Holyoke College; Senior Research Fellow, Institute of Advanced Study (IAS), Durham University and Visiting Professor, University of Torino. He has published several papers in refereed Journals and authored several book chapters.
