John Placid Wotsuna Khamalwa is a Professor of Social Anthropology at Makerere University in Uganda. He has taught at several universities in East Africa. He holds a PhD from Universität Bayreuth, Bayreuth, Germany, an M.A./ Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya and a B.Phil. from Universita Urbaniana, Rome, Italy. As a Senior Researcher, he has won awards and published scholarly works in his area of expertise.
