Free Press Publishers Limited is an independent book publishing company based in Nairobi. Founded in 2016, the company has published notable non-fiction books by Kenyan and non-Kenyan thought leaders on politics, history, culture, the environment, Kenyan-Asian history, education and finance. Our authors include Sharad Rao, a former Director of Public Prosecutions and Acting Attorney General of Kenya; Philip Kinisu, former chairman of the Africa Board of PricewaterhouseCoopers and former chairman of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; Akelo Misori, leader of Kenya’s largest teachers’ union, KUPPET; Prof. Evaristus Irandu, a professor of environmental studies at the University of Nairobi; and Dr. Ashraf Sheikh, a US-based orthopedic surgeon.
